Initial sketch for the poster. Originally, I wanted to go into all sorts of topics relating to bananas; The genetic vunerabilities of cloned commercial bananas, the socio-economic forces that control "banana republics," the conditions of plantition laborers. It was a lot of info though, and not very focused.

Early prototype to final prototype. Most assest remained the same, and it was a matter of juggling information to present in a logical way. Infogrpahics were made by staging and photogrpahing real bananas. Though, plain banana slices don't look very appealing, and I eventually replaced those pie charts with simple flat grpahics.

The banana deck book consists of 30 pages, covers grommeted, and bound by a screw post. The book goes into more of the information i had to leave out of the poster, such as political and economic forces involced in the banana industry.

Secured by a screw post, all the pages can freely move around the hinge. The front facing pages are printed with text, with a subtle background image relating to the text. The back side pages are inked with the photos of a banana rotting over a month.
